5. Price displays, charts and economic calendar (TradingView and Investing.com)
On this website we use widgets from TradingView to display current prices and charts. The provider is TradingView Inc., 23rd Floor, 1330 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10019, USA. TradingView’s EU representative is Jasper Ernst, C/ Aragón 643 (Mail Boxes), PO Box 194, 08026 Barcelona, Spain.
On the “Markets” page we also embed an economic calendar from Investing.com. The provider is Fusion Media Limited, 3076 Sir Francis Drake’s Highway, P.O. Box 3463, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Contact address for users in Europe: Calle Bravo Murillo 101, Planta 11, 28020 Madrid, Spain.
When you open a page containing these widgets, your browser establishes a connection to the servers of the respective provider. In doing so, technically necessary data is transmitted, in particular your IP address, browser and device information, the page accessed and the date and time of access. The providers may also use cookies or similar technologies. We have no influence on the nature and scope of this processing.
The data may also be transferred to and processed in third countries outside the EU, in particular the USA. The USA is considered a third country in which the level of data protection does not always correspond to that of the EU.
The widgets are only loaded when you expressly click “Load live prices” (home page) or “Load live data” (“Markets” page) on our website. 6. Visitor statistics (Jetpack)
This website uses the statistics function of the WordPress plugin Jetpack to evaluate access to the website. The provider is Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. For users in the European Union, Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd., Grand Canal Dock, 25 Herbert Pl, Dublin, D02 AY86, Ireland, is responsible.
When a page is accessed, data about the visit is transmitted to Automattic’s servers. This includes in particular the IP address, the page accessed, the previously visited page (referrer), the date and time of access and information about the browser, operating system and device. Cookies or comparable technologies may be used in the process. A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out.

7. Visitor statistics (Independent Analytics)
This website additionally uses the WordPress plugin Independent Analytics to evaluate access to the website statistically. The evaluation takes place exclusively on our own server; the data is stored in this website’s database and is not transmitted to the provider of the plugin or to any other third party.
Independent Analytics does not set cookies and does not store any information on your device. When a page is accessed, the page accessed, the previously visited page (referrer), the date and time of access, information about device type, browser and operating system and the approximate location (country and city) are recorded. Your IP address is not stored in plain text but is only processed in anonymised, encrypted form (hash) in order to assign page views to a visit. This does not allow us to identify individual persons.

8. Light and dark view
This website offers a light and a dark view. If you change the view using the toggle, your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage so that it is retained the next time you open a page. In addition, the colour values calculated for the light view of the pages you visit are cached there so that the pages are displayed faster.
This information remains exclusively on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to third parties and is not used to evaluate your usage behaviour. The storage is necessary for the function you have chosen (§ 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021, TKG 2021); any processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest in a user-friendly presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can delete the stored information at any time via your browser settings.
9. Trading simulator
The trading simulator on this website stores your progress (date and market of the days traded, number of trades and result) exclusively in your browser’s local storage. This information is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time using the “Reset progress” button in the simulator or via your browser settings.
If you trade the “Day of the week”, your result is transmitted to our server at the end as a single numerical value and stored there without a name, IP address or any other identifier in order to compare it with the results of other participants. This information does not allow us to identify you. Your browser additionally records that you have already taken part in the current week.
The price data and the chart display of the simulator are delivered from our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties when the simulator is opened. The storage in the browser is necessary for the function you use (§ 165(3) TKG 2021); any processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest in a functioning practice tool (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
10. Notifications about new blog posts (MailPoet)
On this website you can sign up for an e-mail notification about new blog posts. The e-mail contains only the title, the first few sentences and a link to the new post; we do not send advertising. Your e-mail address is mandatory; providing your first name is optional and is used only to address you personally.
We use the double opt-in procedure for sign-up: after submitting the form, you receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. You are only added to the mailing list after you have confirmed. We store the time of sign-up and confirmation as well as the IP address in order to be able to prove the sign-up.
The legal basis for the processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking the unsubscribe link in any e-mail or by writing to us at info@gabormehringer.com. We store your data until you unsubscribe; after that it is deleted or retained only for as long as is necessary to prove consent previously given.
The mailing list is managed with the WordPress plugin MailPoet; the data is stored in this website’s database. The e-mails are sent via the MailPoet Sending Service of Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. In the process, your e-mail address, your first name if provided and the content of the e-mail are transmitted to Automattic.
