Trading tools
Five small tools I use myself: the Session clock shows you the current market phase, the Position size calculator the right position size for your risk. The Drawdown matrix and the calculator for Risk-reward & hit rate show you the maths behind trading. And with the Pre-market checklist you start the trading day prepared.

Position size calculator
How big can my position be?
Enter your account, your risk and your stop. The calculator shows you how many contracts you can trade without losing more than your defined risk.
Formula: position size = risk in € ÷ (stop distance × point value). The position size is rounded down to the smallest tradable unit. Point values and minimum sizes can differ from broker to broker, so check them in your platform before trading. The calculator shows your planned risk: in execution, the loss can be higher due to spread, slippage, price gaps and fees. Not investment advice.
Drawdown & recovery matrix
How much profit do you need to recover a loss?
Losses and gains are not symmetrical: the deeper your account falls, the more profit you need to get back to where you started. Move the slider and see for yourself.
Formula: required gain = loss ÷ (100 % − loss). The bars are to scale up to 200 %; larger values are cut off. Tap a row to use its value. Not investment advice.
Whether you make money in the long run does not depend on the hit rate alone. What matters is the combination of hit rate and risk-reward ratio (RRR). Try the two examples or set your own values.
From which hit rate are you in profit?
Formula: expectancy per trade = hit rate × RRR − loss rate, measured in R (1 R = your risk per trade). Profit factor = sum of all gains ÷ sum of all losses, i.e. (hit rate × RRR) ÷ loss rate. The result is a mathematical expected value, not a forecast: individual series of trades can turn out much better or worse. The calculation assumes a constant risk amount, without spread, fees or slippage. Tap a row to use its RRR. Not investment advice.
Five fixed steps before you place the first trade of the day. Tick them off in order. Only when all five are done are you ready.
